English-Ghanaian striker Daniel Adu-Adjei produced a standout display to guide HNK Rijeka to an impressive 3–1 victory over AC Omonia, sealing progression in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Rijeka approached the return leg holding a narrow 1–0 lead from the first encounter in Cyprus, but the tie was quickly thrown open when Muamer Tanković struck early for the visitors to level the aggregate scoreline.

Despite the setback, the Croatian side gradually wrestled back control of proceedings after the interval. Toni Fruk brought the hosts back on level terms in the match, finishing neatly after being teed up by Tiago Dantas.
Rijeka’s momentum continued to build, and Fruk struck again to put the home side ahead on the night, capitalizing on an intelligent attacking movement from Adu-Adjei that helped unlock Omonia’s defense.
The English-Ghanaian forward then put the result beyond doubt in the 79th minute. Adu-Adjei found the net to cap a superb individual outing, combining a goal with an assist in a performance that underlined his increasing importance to Rijeka’s frontline.
The win ensured Rijeka advanced comfortably with a 4–1 aggregate score, while also maintaining their impressive home form in European competitions.
