Alhaji Gruzah preaches equal share of betPawa GPL cash

King Faisal bankroller Alhaji Karim Gruzah wants all 18 Ghana Premier League clubs to receive equal share from the betPawa sponsorship deal.

The top-flight division will for the next three years receive $6million(2million every year) from the betting company.

The GFA made an agreement with betPawa Wednesday at their headquarters.

Talks have already begun on how the money should be shared among the 18 clubs and Gruzah wants all clubs to receive same share.

“I disagree with those who want Kotoko and Hearts to receive more money from the sponsorship.

“We all pay bonuses and salaries. It would be wrong to pay them more than us. The only fair agreement is equal share.

“We will all have our matches on TV and I wouldnt beg any Kotoko fan to watch our games. The choice is theirs.”

Alhaji continued: “Hearts of Oak was founded in 1911 and they are now trying to get a training ground. Big clubs have infrastructure.

“We are all the same.”

The Ghana Premier League starts on September 9.
