Ghana Premier League (GPL) side Karela United have bid star forward Diawisie Taylor farewell following his successful transfer to the Egyptian league.
The 21-year-old joined the Aiyinase-based side from Goldstars in 2018 when they first gained promotion to the topflight.
His enviable goalscoring form at Karela United saw him emerging as the top scorer in the 2020/21 GPL with 17 goals, a gift Karela United fans will cherish for long and see him as one of their legends.
“You walked through these gates as a lad. Played 76 games and scored 33 goals later, you leave as a legend. Your goals and assists have established this club as a mainstay in the GPL.
“Your parting gift, a golden boot-winning feat in the 2020/21 season will be cherished for a long time to come. We wish you well in your new adventure.
“We will be cheering you on from the banks of Ankobrah. Carry the Pride and Passion with you,” read a farewell message posted on the club’s socials a day after the Egyptian transfer window closed.
