#FootyTransfers: Diawisie Taylor sees the “Future” in Egypt

The Ghana Premier League top scorer is on his way to sign for newly-promoted Future FC.

Ghana Premier League golden boot winner Charles Diawisie Taylor is on the verge of signing for newly-promoted Egyptian Premier League side Future FC, Footy-Ghana.com can report.

A couple of days ago, the 21-year-old came close to joining African giants Espérance Sportive de Tunis but the deal fell off at the last minute with the Tunisians moving on to sign Senegalese striker Musa Konati on loan from Fench club FC Dijon.

Not short of many suitors, Diawisie Taylor’s club Karela United have reached an agreement with Future FC who will be featuring in the upcoming 2021/22 Egyptian Premier League, their first time.

Footy-Ghana.com can confirm that Diawisie Taylor will be arriving in Egypt Wednesday night to complete his part of the deal to join the Cairo-based club.

Future FC, until early September was known as Coca-Cola FC.

The club, founded only in 2011, underwent a name change following a takeover by Future company for sports investments.

Future FC secured promotion for the first time in their decade-old existence after topping their qualification group in the second-tier division.

Hoping to stay up, the club is further boosting its ranks with Diawise in addition to already-acquired top signings like Cameroon international Joseph Ngwem from El-Gouna, forwards Mahmoud Farouk (Pyramids FC), Aymen Sfaxi (Etoile Sportive du Sahel), goalkeeper Mahmoud Gennesh from Zamalek, Saad Samir (Al Ahly) and Mahmoud Marei from Wadi Degla.

Diawisie Taylor won the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League golden boot winner with 18 goals. Providing 7 assists, he directly contributed 25 – representing 59.5% – of the 42 goals scored by Karela last season.
