Ghana defender Wahab Ackwei has left New York Red Bulls II, just seven months after joining the American second tier side.
Red Bull II, on Tuesday September 3, announced reaching a mutual agreement to terminate the 21-year-old centre-back’s contract.
Ackwei signed with NYRB II on February 14 this year after opting to leave Ghana Premier League side Inter Allies on a free transfer.

Wahab Ackwei played in seven games for NYRB II in the United Soccer League, starting five of them, while recording 452 minutes total. He had one assist.
