Veteran Coach Kuuku Dadzie bemoans low quality players in GPL

Veteran Ghanaian Coach, James Kuuku Dadzie has expressed concern about the absence of quality players in the Betpawa Premier League.

The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League has drawn keen interest onlookers with the title still up for grabs with five games to go to the end of the season.

League leaders Aduana FC hold a 3-point buffer from closest challengers Bechem United as the Ogya lads look to hold firm their advantage and seal a first premier league trophy in five years.

James Kuuku Dadzie, who had spells in the Premier League with Dwarfs, claims the absence of quality players is the reason for the closely contested nature of games in the Betpawa Premier League.

“Football is about players, and we mean quality ones. Personally for me, in Ghana all the Premier League teams have average players.” – Kuuku Dadzie told Onua FM.

“Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are not ahead of the remaining teams in terms of squad depth.

“There are no clear differences in their qualities which is why we see the league to be tight and competitive with close gaps in the points build-up.
