Nana Yaw Amponsah offers fresh update on Kotoko youth project

Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah has revealed the current plans on the club’s youth team project at Adako Jachie.

The Reds have been engaged in the reconstruction of their Adako Jachie complex, in line with the youth team setup.

IKotoko conducted player assessment, following up with recruitment and are expected to roll out the plan by end of 2023.

Nana Yaw Amponsah in an interview with Oyerepa FM, disclosed the club’s decision to halt the program.

“We have reached the stage of deciding how to accommodate the players we have selected.

“Whether to find foster guardians and pay them maybe GHC1000 – GHC2000 a month or to build an appartment

“But in all this, the sacking of Seydou Zerbo has also impacted our break because our youth coach Abdul Gazale is managing the senior side.”

Amponsah continued:

“Out partners are also in talks with us on helping technically and there might be new investors too.

“So we are still on the project.”

Kotoko continue to compete in the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League and lie 6th in the standings.
