Medeama SC displayed a stupendous performance to beat Accra Hearts of Oak 5-1 on match-week 31 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.
The Yellow and Mauves were eager to record a victory in hopes of surpassing leaders Aduana Stars, who lost 3-0 to Accra Lions on Saturday.
At the Accra Sports Stadium, the mood for the visitors was all about winning at a difficult ground but the challenge was an exciting one.

Derrick Fordjour broke the deadlock with a sublime strike in the 17th minute for Medeama.
Hearts of Oak then responded in the 27th minute when Salifu Ibrahim scored a penalty after Caleb Amankwah was brought down in the box.
Minutes later, Caleb Amankwah brought down his marker in the box and Medeama scored with Vincent Atinga’s spot kick.
Medeama held on with great defensive solidity, full of determination to win the encounter.
The visitors extended their lead before half time with Jonathan Sowah’s goal in the 42nd minute.
After the break, Medeama held on to their lead and added two more goals before full-time
The visitors got their fourth goal in the 84th minute when Jonathan Sowah netted again from a through ball. His second goal of the game!
Hearts pushed forward to salvage a point from the game and they left huge gaps in defence.
As a result, Medeama scored their fifth goal of the afternoon.
