Kotoko and Hearts are no more dream destinations for top players – Thomas Duah

Ashanti Gold SC head coach, Thomas Duah has says Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are no more dream destinations for top Ghanaian players.

The coach asserts the days when the two giant clubs commanded the local scene are over.

Duah spoke in an interview with Kumasi-based Akoma FM.

“Gone were the days when Kotoko and Hearts became the destination for most of the known quality players in the local scene.

“Now the situation is entirely different.

“There were no grounds for experimentation in these teams because top players do not need years to adapt.

Unfortunately, the situation is completely different now,” Duah lamented.

“I agree with the assertion that these two teams lack quality. Their low quality has affected their call-ups into the national teams.”

Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will miss out on continental football next season.

Aduana Stars, Medeama and Bechem United are battling for the league title while Dreams FC and King Faisal face off for the FA Cup.
