GFA dismisses King Faisal protest against Tamale City

The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has dismissed King Faisal’s protest against Tamale City FC.

Both clubs faced off early May with the Northern Region side beating Faisal 4-0.

The Insha Allah club’s protest centres around a Tamale City player with an alleged double identity (Isaac Mensah/Jireh Kojo Nissi).

King Faisal aimed to gain boardroom points to help avoid relegation.

But their protest has been quashed by the domestic football governing body (GFA).

The Ghana FA ruled that the player who played in the said match was duly qualified to play.

However, the GFA Prosecutor has been tasked to investigate the registration of Jireh Kojo Nissi and locate and charge all guilty parties in his registration.

The decision has been communicated to all parties accordingly.
