#FootyTransfers: Kamaldeen Sulemana an option for Juventus – report

Italian powerhouse Juventus are reportedly monitoring Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana for a potential summer transfer from Southampton FC.

The 21-year-old winger made a strong impression at St Mary’s this season with a brace in the final-day 4-4 draw vs Liverpool and an earlier assist against Newcastle United.

Kamaldeen cost £24million when he arrived from French side Stade Rennais in January, but a report from Italian publication La Gazetta has connected him to Juventus who are reportedly seeking inexpensive replacements to replace their outgoing players as well as inject youth and exuberance into their squad ahead of their possible Champions League exit and 120 million Euro revenue hit.

Also on the Bianconeri’s radar is Sassuolo forward, Armand Lauriente – who had stints with Stade Rennais in his youth career.

It is unclear where Kamaldeen’s future lies following Saints’ relegation; however, he recently stated that he was enjoying his time at the club.

Furthermore, it is believed that Southampton would be unlikely to accept significant depreciations of Kamaldeen due to both financial constraints and him fitting the direction they want to go in for next season.
