Aduana were held 1-1 by Kotoku Royals in the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League on Monday afternoon in Dawu.

The visitors hoped to extend their lead at the top of the standing with a victory but Royals, who are battling relegation escape, scored late to grab a point.

Isaac Mintah scored for the Fire Boys in the 71st minute with a delightful volley but Prince Dogbe left it late.

The Kotoku Royals man scored in the first minute of additional time as his side held on to pick a point from the clash.

The draw is Royals’ fifth out of 29 games in the league season. They have manged just five wins and that justifies why they are bottom in the standings.

Aduana, despite their failure to win, lead with three point ahead of second-placed side Bechem United.

The Fire Boys will aim at moving their points tally from 51 to 54 when they host Karela United at Dormaa.

On the other hand, Royals will trip to Sogakope for Great Olympics.
