Ghanaian winger Ishmael Yartey has joined Norwegian club Alta IF for an undisclosed amount.
The former Ghana U-17 player has completed his medical tests and signed a deal with the Alta Idrettspark outfit.
“Ishmael Yartey is now ready for the club,” says Sporting Coordinator for Alta IF Fotball Andre Dorgset Donjar.
Yartey joins Alta after having a short spell with Kokolan PV in Finland.
Alta IF currently plays in 2. division, the third tier of the Norwegian football league system.
The 33-year-old also played in Portugal (Benfica, Beira-Mar, Fátima, Gil Vicente), Switzerland (Servette, Sion, Stade Nyonnais), USA (Portland Timbers), Finland (KPV, Haka), Saudi Arabia (Hetten), and Bahrain (Al-Hidd Club).
Yartey represented Ghana U-17 (Black Starlets) in the 2007 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Korea Republic.
