Dreams, Hearts battle to 0-0 stalemate

Dreams FC and Hearts of Oak settled for a share of the spoils in the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League (GPL) on Saturday.

No goal was scored in the match-day 25 clash at Dawu Park.

Dreams FC goalkeeper Augustine Solomon was called into action early and denied Caleb Amankwah from scoring on a volley.

Immediately following the host’s opening statement, Simba Sylvester and Adade combined beautifully with the latter hitting a strong shot that was blocked.

Linda Mtange – who netted his first goal since joining the Phobians in midweek – came close to netting the opener just before the half-hour mark. But the Congo attacker missed the target

Hearts had the best chance in the second half. Gideon Asante was played through in the 67th minute, but the ball got kicked out for a corner kick as the youngster arrived late.

That was the best either team could muster, however, before the final whistle ended the proceedings.

Dreams FC captain Abdul Jalilu won the man-of-the-match award.

With the points shared, Dreams FC move to 31 points, while Hearts of Oak have now earned 35 from 25 games.
