2022/23 MTN FA Cup: Skyy FC pip Dwarfs to semis spot

Skyy FC defeated fellow Division One side Ebusua Dwarfs 1-0 at St. Martin’s Park in Daboase on Sunday to progress to the semifinals of the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup.

The battle between the Zone Two rivals was settled by an early strike from Eric Antwi Konadu. He scored in the second minute after receiving a pass from the wings.

It’s historic progress for Skyy FC who have gone past the quarterfinals for the first time. Their campaign was ended at this stage by eventual champions Hearts of Oak last season.

In-form Skyy, already in pole position for Ghana Premier League promotion, will now face a potential opponent for next season in Dreams FC in the FA Cup semifinals.

Nsoatreman FC and King Faisal set up an all-Premier League clash in the other semis fixture.

The 2022/23 MTN FA Cup semifinals are scheduled for May 13 and 14, 2023.
