Dreams, Karela settle for barren stalemate

Dreams FC fired a blank for the successive game as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Karela United in their 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League (GPL) clash at Dawu Park on Saturday.

It was a match where the hosts – who lost 3-0 at the same venue away to Kotoku Royals in midweek – created the most chances but were not clinical enough.

The ‘Still Believe’ lads appear to struggle for goals following the absence of star forward Agyenim Boateng Mensah.

Dreams are currently mid-table with 27 points from 20 matches.

The 0-0 draw is a welcome one for Karela who have never won but lost in 7 of their 10 trips this season. On 23 points, the club from Aiyinase risks dropping to the relegation zone should any of Legon Cities and Tamale City win in this weekend’s games.

Dreams FC captain Abdul Jalilu won the man-of-the-match award.
