Mohammed Kudus scored to hand Ajax a 1-0 victory away to FC Twente in the KNVB Cup Round of 16 Thursday evening.
Feeding on an assist from Dusan Tadić, the Ghana international netted the only goal of the encounter at De Grolsch Veste in the 70th minute.
Kudus – who lasted the entire duration of the game – enjoyed his third consecutive start under caretaker coach John Heitinga. The 22-year-old has scored in all three, extending his overall season tally to 13 goals in 27 appearances across 4 competitions so far.
The 1-0 victory means Ajax have progressed to the quarterfinals of the competition.
