Ref Daniel Laryea leads Ghana quartet for Al-Merreikh vs Zamalek

Daniel Laryea has been appointed to lead a quartet of Ghanaian referees to officiate the 2022/23 Caf Champions League group stage game between Al-Merreikh of Sudan and Egyptian giants Zamalek.

Due to a Club Licensing shortfall, Merreikh have had to adopt the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Libya for their home games in Group D.

Laryea will thus head to Libya together with Kwasi Acheampong Brobbey (Assistant I), Paul Kodzo Atimaka (Assistant II) and Charles Benle Bulu (Fourth Official) for the game scheduled for Friday, February 17 at 15H00.

Rwanda’s Michel Gasingwa has also been appointed Match Commissioner.

The Referee Assessor is Aboubacar Doumbouya from Guinea while Tanzanian Baraka Kizuguto has been handed the General Coordinator.

The match will have Jamil Bawalaggana Mpagi Bawalaggana Sewanyana from Uganda as Security Officer.
