Keyekeh brace powers Samartex to 3-0 win over RTU

Emmanuel Keyekeh scored two goals as FC Samartex 1996 comfortably dispatched Real Tamale United (RTU) 3-0 on Sunday – their biggest win since the start of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League (GPL).

The match-day 18 fixture at Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi saw head coach Annor Walker make his return to the dugout for the first time since returning from CHAN 2022 with Ghana’s Black Galaxies.

Keyekeh welcomed the gaffer back with his first goal of the day with a free-kick which came off RTU’s Mohammed Sadat in first-half stoppage time.

And 10 minutes into the second half, the central midfielder landed his brace for the hosts with a low strike from range.

In the 5th minute of added time, newly-signed striker Opoku Agyemang made it 3-0 with an effort from outside the box after coming off the bench earlier.

The victory moves FC Samartex into 9th place in the GPL standings with 26 points. RTU drop two places and are two points behind after 18 matches.
