Dreams stun Olympics with last-ditch equaliser

Dreams FC rescued a point against Great Olympics in stoppage time at Accra Sports Stadium on match-day 16 of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League (GPL) Sunday afternoon.

New signing Michael Osei gave the Dade Boys an early lead when he beat goalkeeper Koomson in the 15th minute.

Olympics – who lost 3-0 to Accra Lions in midweek – appeared on track for a return to winning ways at the 90th minute of the game.

But the unrelenting Still Believe lads got a lifeline in the closing stages. Young midfielder Collins Boah shocked the hosts with the equaliser in the fifth minute of second-half injury time, saving his side from a third straight league defeat.

With the 1-1 result, Great Olympics sit 7th on 23 points in the league standings while Dreams are 13th with 20 after 16 games.
