Bechem United waltzed past Great Olympics with a 3-0 home win on Sunday to begin their second round in the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League (GPL).
The Hunters – looking for a win after losing and drawing their last two games – got it right on their return to Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park for match-day 18 on Sunday.
Striker Hafiz Konkoni scored the opening goal in the 26th minute after an assist from winger Clinton Duodu, and that advantage remained throughout the first half.
Duodu was on hand again to set up Konkoni to score his brace in the 52nd minute.
Bechem registered their third goal in the 79th minute with Konkoni turning as the provider for Abdul Karim to score.
The emphatic victory lifts Bechem United into second position with 30 points, five adrift of leaders Aduana FC who beat Hearts of Oak in Accra. Great Olympics drop to 13th with 23 points.
