Accra Lions whipped their ‘landlords’ Great Olympics 3-0 in a 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League (GPL) match-day 15 clash at the Accra Sports Stadium Thursday afternoon.
A passing exchange with Baba Apiiga in the 27th minute resulted in Abass Samari opening the scoring with his fourth goal in successive games.
Four minutes from the break, Apiiga delivered his second assist from a corner kick for Jacob Amu Mensah to head home.
Amu Mensah went on to register his brace with a volley shot six minutes into the second half.
He was, however, sent off in the 75th minute.
Lions saw out the remainder of the game with 10 men.
Victory lifts Accra Lions into 3rd position on 26 points while Olympics, who remain on 22, sit 7th in the league standings after 15 games.
Abass Samari picked up the man-of-the-match award.
