2023 AfconQ: Referee Charles Bulu to lead Ghanaian quartet for Cape Verde vs eSwatini

A Ghanaian refereeing team has been selected by the Confederation of African Football (Caf) for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier between Cape Verde and eSwatini.

The 15,000-capacity Estádio Nacional, in the capital city of Praia, has been sanctioned by Caf as the venue for the third Group B match for both countries scheduled for Friday, March 24, 2023. Kickoff is at 15:00 local time (GMT-1).

Charles Benle Bulu will be in charge of proceedings as the centre referee.

Flanking him on the sides of the field will be countrymen Paul Kodzo Atimaka (Assistant I) and Tijani Mohammed (Assistant II).

Abdul Latif Qadari, another Ghanaian, completes the quartet as the Fourth Official.

The appointed Match Commissioner is Gregorio Badupa from Guinea Bissau.

Mauritanian Lemghaifry Bouchaab will be playing the role of Referee Assessor.

Cape Verde rank second in Group B with three points with eSwatini following in third on just a point from two games. Burkina Faso lead with six points while Togo are bottom on 1 point.
