Asante Kotoko have announced the signing of midfielder Rashid Nortey on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old just ended a six-year spell at Tarkwa-based Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC and has opted to continue his career locally with the league champions until the end of the 2024/25 season.
“Rashid has penned a two-and-a-half-year deal after running down his contract with Medeama SC,” a statement via the Asante Kotoko website read.

“Rashid comes with enormous quality and experience and will only improve our team to help us achieve our targets this season.
“We welcome our new signing and wish him all the best,” it added.
Rashid Nortey combined 93 Ghana Premier League appearances during his six-year stay at Medeama – just two of them have come from a possible 13 in the ongoing 2022/23 season.
