Medeama SC have announced the loan transfer of Ebenezer Ackahbi to fellow Ghana Premier League side FC Samartex 1996.
The 19-year-old winger has lacked adequate game time in the ongoing 2022/23 season, combining just 175 minutes in 4 of 13 league matches played.
Ackahbi – who graduated from Medeama’s feeder club in 2018 – has joined the newcomers for the rest of the campaign.
“Medeama winger Ebenezer Ackahbi has agreed to spend the remainder of the 2022/23 season on loan with Samartex 1996.
“The club has reached an agreement with Samartex for the loan transfer of the talented wideman.
“The 19-year-old is expected to continue his development…” the Tarkwa-based club announced.
In a piece of related news, Medeama also confirmed that young midfielder Abdulai Samadu has reverted to Wa Suntaa in a permanent transfer. He joined the Division One side in October 2021 and never made the match-day squad.
Experienced striker Hans Kwofie’s second stint has been cut short by mutual agreement after five months and 8 league appearances. In August 2022, he re-joined the Mauve and Yellows on a one-year deal.
