Aduana FC moved four points clear at the summit of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League (GPL) table following a 2-0 home win over Kotokou Royals on Thursday.
Both goals came in the first half of the match-day 12 encounter at the Nana Agyeman Badu (NAB) I Stadium in Dormaa.
WInger Emmanuel Gyamfi – who made a return to the starting line-up after being benched against GoldStars on Monday – put the leaders ahead by connecting to a pass from Frank Owusu in the 17th minute.
Then in the 5th minute of first-half added time, centre-back Stephen Anorkye Badu powered home a free-kick a few yards away from the penalty box to make it 2-0.
Anorkye Badu walked home with the man-of-the-match award.
Aduana FC are currently top of the 2022/23 GPL with 24 points, four more than defending champions Asante Kotoko and their arch-rivals Hearts of Oak who are tied on points and goal difference after 12 games.
