Accra Lions hold league leaders Aduana to 1-1 draw

Accra Lions maintained their difference with leaders Aduana FC with a hard-earned 1-1 draw away on match-day 14 of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League (GPL).

They remain unbeaten in two trips to the Nana Agyeman Badu (NAB) I Stadium in Dormaa, having drawn by the same scoreline during their top-flight debut last year.

The brave Lions took the lead two minutes before the halftime break.

In-form Abass Samari scored following a pass from David Oduro – his third goal in successive games.

Aduana, however, managed to cancel the lead through Solomon Aboagye in the 68th minute.

The game eventually ended 1-1 after 7 minutes of added time.

Aduana FC continue to lead the Ghana Premier League with 25 points after 14 matches. Accra Lions sit 4th with 23 points.

Winger Emmanuel Gyamfi of Aduana won the man-of-the-match award.
