Tamale City beat Olympics for second win in 10 matches

Tamale City defeated Great Olympics 2-1 for their second win of the 2022/23 betPawa Ghana Premier League (GPL) season.

There was no goal in the first half of the match-day 10 fixture at Aliu Mahama Stadium on New Year’s Eve.

Tamale City eventually broke the deadlock through Raphael Essien six minutes into the second half

But Gideon Offei Ofori netted to pull parity for the visiting Olympics in the 62nd minute.

Striker Sampson Eduku then scored the match-winner for the Citizens with a firm strike from close range in the 71st minute.

Tamale City have now amassed 10 points from as many matches while Great Olympics remain on 14.
