DATE CHANGE: GFA sets new January 10 start for 2022/23 second registration window

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has informed clubs participating in its four-tier league competitions that the second domestic registration period for the 2022/23 season will start on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, one week earlier than the originally scheduled date.

It will be recalled that the GFA on December 12 published that the window was to open on January 17 and then close at midnight on Friday, February 10, 2023.

GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo has updated the impending registration period for newly acquired players through Fifa Connect from 25 to 32 days via a letter dated December 28.

This applies to clubs in the Premier League, Division One, Women’s Premier League and the Regional FA leagues.

Meanwhile, the entire month of January 2023 remains the window for international and domestic transfers.

Clubs have been reminded to “transfer their players through the ITMS/DTMS before the transfer deadline on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.”
