Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has hailed Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey ahead of their first clash against in-form Arsenal in the 2022/23 English Premier League.
The inconsistent Reds travel to face the league leaders at the Emirates on Sunday, October 9.
Since joining from Spanish side Atletico Madrid, Partey has established himself as an important player for Mikel Arteta’s side.
And the 29-year-old’s influence isn’t a surprising one to Klopp.
According to the Liverpool boss, Partey’s quality has been known since his LaLiga days.
“Thomas Partey, everybody knew how good he is when he was at Atletico Madrid and the last line he has now really settled,” Klopp told reporters.
“They have a good midfield and Partey really works and complements the team.”
The Ghanaian is in line to start for Arsenal against Liverpool in the Premier League with the Gunners hoping to maintain their top spot.
