2022/23 Caf CC: Hearts of Oak squad for AS Real de Bamako visit [FULL LIST]

Acting head coach David Ocloo has named a 22-man squad for Hearts of Oak’s trip to Mali to face AS Real de Bamako in the second preliminary round of the 2022/23 Caf Confederation Cup.

This first leg clash is scheduled for Stade du 26 Mars de Bamako on Saturday, October 8.

Black Stars forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh is named for the fixture as well as goalkeeper Eric Ofori-Antwi.

Also, Central African Republic import Yassan Ouatching is back in contention after missing the Super Clash against Kotoko.

The Phobians will be making their first continental outing this campaign during this two-legged tie after receiving a bye.

AS Real de Bamako had to eliminate Burkina Faso’s AS Douanes in the first preliminary round. They edged their adversaries 3-1 on penalty after barren stalemates over two legs.

43-year-old 2022 Fifa World Cup-bound Gambian referee Bakary Papa Gassama will officiate the match. He will be aided by compatriot Lamin N. Jammeh who will act as the fourth official.

Elvis Guy Noupue Nguegoue from Cameroon and Egyptian Mahmoud Ahmed Kamel Abouelregal will be Assistants I and II respectively.

The Hearts of oak travelling party is expected to leave Ghana for Mali via Cote d’Ivoire Thursday morning.
