Al-Masry SC have announced the signing of Cameroonian striker Franck Theirry Etouga Mbella from Asante Kotoko.
The Port Said-based Egyptian Premier League outfit reportedly splashed an amount of $400,000 in transfer fees to secure the services of the 21-year-old.
Mbella arrives as the 8th signing for Al-Masry on a three-season contract ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.
“The Board of Directors of the Egyptian club, headed by Professor Kamel Abu Ali, have completed the signing of Cameroonian international striker Franck Mbela Etouga, the forward of Ghana’s Asante Kotoko, on a three-season contract, starting from the new season 2022/23 to the end of the 2024/25 season,” portions of a statement on the club’s official Facebook page read.
Al-Masry further added making full payment of the value of the deal to Asante Kotoko.

In the transfer agreement, Asante Kotoko are said to be entitled to a 30% share of any future transfer of Mbella from Al-Masry.
Mbella played Asante Kotoko for one season and scored 21 goals in 30 games during the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
