Women’s Premier League champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies have qualified for the finals of the Wafu Zone B’ Caf Women’s Champions League qualifiers on Tuesday.
The Bono side beat Africa Sports of Ivory Coast 6-5 on penalties after drawing 1-1 in regular time. The victory means Ampem Darkoa has qualified for the Women’s Champions League.
The Ivorian side took the lead in the first half before the Ghana Women’s Premier League champions equalized in the 60th minute through Gladys Amfobea.
Ampem Darkoa and Africa Sports converted all their five spot kicks but the Ivorians failed in their first attempt during sudden death.
