Ghana will begin the quest to qualify for the Morocco 2023 U-23 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) against Mozambique from the second round.
This is after the Mozambiquans eliminated Mauritius with a 5-1 aggregate scoreline in the first round played on September 24 (3-0) and 27 (1-2).
Coach Ibrahim Tanko’s Black Meteors had been exempted from the first of the three-round qualifying series.
Now they enter the race for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games’ qualifying tournament this October.
Ghana play guests to Mozambique in the first leg scheduled for Sunday, October 23.
The second Leg in Ghana is to come off on Sunday, October 30.
Meteors began preparations on September 7 in Prampram after coach Ibrahim Tanko invited 32 players to camp.
