Ghana football great Asamoah Gyan is still hoping to feature in the Black Stars squad for the 2022 Fifa World Cup.
Gyan wants to join the team for the global tourney which will be played in Qatar November.
The former Sunderland forward last played at the 2014 World Cup, scoring two goals in the group stage.
Gyan, who is Ghana’s all-time topscorer revealed his hopes of joining the Black Stars in an interview with BBC.
“Ghanaians want revenge. Personally, I just sat back and smiled because I understand how the game goes.
“What happened in 2010 against Uruguay is behind me now and maybe there might be another opportunity.
“When the time comes and I’m part of the team and play them again, I will be thinking about revenge and prove myself.”
Ghana are in Group H alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
