Simba SC sign Augustine Okrah till 2024

Simba SC have acquired the services of Bechem United midfielder Augustine Okrah on a two-year deal.

The Tanzanian giants had been in talks with the attacker since last season and an agreement has been reached between the two sides for an undisclosed amount.

“Our club has secured the signing of midfielder Augustine Okrah from Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League on a two-year deal.

“Okrah (28), is capable of playing more than one position on the field including both wings and playing behind the striker,” Simba announced Wednesday.

Okrah had a stellar 2021/22 Ghana football season netting 14 goals, helping Bechem United finish third in the Premier League and playing in the MTN FA Cup final.

The 28-year-old will join his new club as they head for pre-season in Egypt to begin their 2022/23 campaign.

Simba had recently parted ways with talented Ghanaian winger Bernard Morrison, who has joined rivals Young Africans.

They have been busy on the market this summer: Okrah is their fourth signing announced since last week.

Augustine Okrah has at various times served the teams like Asante Kotoko (Ghana), Al Marreikh and Al Hilal (Sudan), Smouha SC (Egypt) and North East United (India).
