Kotoko: $100k Mudasiru loan deal linked to Narteh Ogum resignation

Salifu Mudasiru’s loan move from Asante Kotoko to Sheriff Tiraspol cost $100,000 and it’s referenced to coach Prosper Narteh Ogum’s resignation.

The central midfielder, after extending his contract with the Porcupine Warriors heads to the Moldovan side for a year agreement.

Mudasiru, who just won his first ever Premier League title, renewed with Asante Kotoko for two years.

Interestingly, the transfer has raised a lot of eyebrows since the resignation of head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum on Wednesday afternoon.

According to media reports, Mudasiru’s trials along with Richard Boadu and Andrews Appau at Tiraspol angered Ogum and as a result, formed a part of his shocking decision.

Sources close to the club say the gaffer realizing the departure of his midfield stalwart on just a loan deal felt disrespected for not being on the known over the transfer.

The club’s Administrative and Operations Manager Emmanuel Dasoberi also spoke on the resignation saying it is irreversible.

‘Narteh Ogum’s resignation seems irrevocable,’ says Kotoko Admin manager

Whatever it is, Kotoko’s love story with Prosper Narteh Ogum might not last for even a year.
