2022 Fifa World Cup: Ghana will qualify from Group H – Iñaki Williams

New Black Stars forward Iñaki Williams has assured Ghanaians of a Round of 16 spot in the 2022 Fifa World Cup.

Ghana are drawn in a tough group alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

The Athletic Bilbao admits Black Stars’ Group H rivals will present a difficult test but remains confident of qualification from the group stages.

“It’s very special for Ghana to qualify for Qatar. I think anything can happen and I think it is a tough group.

“It is not going to be easy for Ghana but I think the team is going to do everything to qualify for the next round,” Iñaki said in an interview with TV3.

Ghana made their maiden World Cup appearance in Germany 2006 and managed to progress to the last-16, losing 3-0 to Brazil.

The Stars had their best campaign in 2010 in South Africa where they went all the way to the quarterfinals and were eliminated on penalties by Uruguay.

Their third appearance was a disaster as they were knocked out in the group stages.
