2022 Wafu-B U-17 Cup: Ghana’s Julian Nunoo to referee Nigeria vs Burkina final

Ghanaian referee Julian Nii Akwa Nunoo has been appointed to officiate the 2022 Wafu Zone-B U-17 Cup of Nations final between Nigeria and Burkina Faso Friday night.

The 31-year-old will be assisted on the lines by compatriot Roland Addy and Adiwotso Komlan from Togo.

Soro Tuoniféré from Cote d’Ivoire is the 4th official while his countryman Brou Kouadio Parfait also acts as the referee assessor.

The Golden Eaglets Nigeria topped Group A of the 7-nation Championship before beating Cote d’Ivoire 3-1 in the semifinals.

Burkina Faso’s Bay Stallions reached the grand finale by topping Group B and going on to defeat hosts Ghana 1-0 in the semis.

Both finalists will be representing Wafu Zone-B at next year’s U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) to be held in Algeria.
