Black Stars: Ghana FA confirm 6 more months for Otto Addo and technical team

The quartet will continue in their roles until after the 2022 Fifa World Cup in December.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has succeeded in fulfilling President Nana Akufo-Addo’s wish to keep the technical team that delivered the Qatar 2022 Fifa World Cup ticket.

Ex-international Otto Addo – acting as head coach – together with assistants George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani as well as Technical Advisor Chris Hughton masterminded the Black Stars’ qualification to the Mundial at the expense of rivals Nigeria.

The quartet had been engaged for just the two playoff games.

But hosting the gallant Black Stars at the Jubilee House on March 30, the country’s leader admonished that he is “hoping that the technical team that has been put together for these two [playoffs] matches will at least take us through the World Cup itself.”
