Forward Prince Kwabena Owusu converted a penalty in the second half to give Bibiani GoldStars a barely deserved 1-0 win against Eleven Wonders in their 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL) match-day 26 clash Sunday afternoon.
It was a tight contest that saw the visitors cover every grass to prevent GoldStars from scoring in front of a partisan crowd at Dun’s Park.
The two sides were eventually separated by a penalty which was heavily contested by the team from Techiman.
An unperturbed Kwabena Owusu stepped up and blasted home the spot-kick in the 67th minute.
The result lifts GoldStars to 11th place in the standings with 35 points from 26 games. Wonders stay 16th on 28 points.
Bibiani GoldStars left-back Evans Owusu won the NASCO man-of-the-match award.
