VIDEO: Kudus bags hat-trick in full game for Jong Ajax

After enjoying some 10 minutes of game time with the Ajax senior team in Sunday’s Eredivisie win over RKC Waalwijk, fit-again Ghana international Mohammed Kudus turned out full-time with a hat-trick for the reserve team a little over 24 hours later.

The left-footed attacking midfielder – as part of his journey to match fitness from a rib injury with the Black Stars since November – helped Jong Ajax hammer ADO Den Haag 6-3 at home in the Eerste Divisie Monday night.

Kudus opened the scoring with a chop shot from inside the box in the 14th minute, went on to convert a penalty in the 41st before completing his treble in the 64th minute. Watch all the goals:

There were also two players of Ghanaian origin – right-back Jamal Amofa and centre-back Tyrese Asante – in action for ADO Den Haag.

After missing out on the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) in Cameroon, Mohammed Kudus is expected to return to the Black Stars squad for the World Cup playoffs against Nigeria later this month.
