Coach Baba Nuhu has named a squad of 22 players for Ghana’s trip to Senegal in the qualifiers to the 2022 Fifa U-17 Women’s World Cup.
The Black Maidens play guests to their Senegalese counterparts in the opening leg of the first round of the African qualifiers to the India World Cup on Saturday, March 5, 2022.
The match is scheduled for Stade Lat Dior de Thies with kickoff at 16:30 GMT.
The second leg comes off after two weeks with the aggregate winner facing that of the Liberia-Guinea tie in the second and penultimate qualifying round.
Princess Owusu, the leading top scorer in the Women’s Premier League, headlines the attacking options while Dreamz Ladies midfield sensation Stella Nyamekye also makes the squad.
Berlene Nyarko and Agnes Yeboah gatecrashed the squad as players from lower-tier sides Mfantsiman Royals and Combined Forces respectively.
The Black Maidens are scheduled to depart Accra via Air Cote d’Ivoire at 10:00 GMT Wednesday.
