Bottom-club Elmina Sharks claimed their fourth win by beating fellow relegation battlers Eleven Wonders 2-0 in a 2021/22 Ghana Premier League match-day 22 fixture Wednesday afternoon.
The fearsome Sharks, playing their 11th home game at the Nduom Stadium, opened the scoring on 24 minutes through a Francis Obeng effort.
Tahir Mensah then ensured the three points were well won by doubling the lead two minutes before the hour mark.
The victory is the second for Sharks under returnee coach Jonas Amissah who masterminded their 2-1 triumph over league leaders Asante Kotoko at the same venue earlier in February.
Despite the win, Elmina Sharks remain bottom of the 18-team league standings with 15 points but pull Wonders closer to them in the relegation zone. The two sides are now separated by six points after 22 matches.
