RTU decline continues with home draw against Aduana

Aduana FC kept up their unbeaten run to five games with a battling draw at Real Tamale United (RTU) on match-day 21 of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL) on Sunday.

The Pride of the North were hoping to end a 7-match winless streak but it rather extended with a 1-1 draw in front of their home fans at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

Baba Kushibo got RTU in the lead by feeding on a Victor Aidoo assist with a half volley in the 32nd minute.

But midfielder Eric Kwakwa popped up from the bench in the second half to deliver a sweet equalizer for Aduana in the 67th minute.

The Fire Boys grew in confidence and dictated play until the blast of the final whistle.

The point earned means Aduana are now on 37 points from 21 matches, 7 behind leaders Asante Kotoko who visit Eleven Wonders in Techiman on Monday,

For RTU, they are now in 15th place with 22 points.
