Ghana forward Kwame Peprah scored as Orlando Pirates slumped to defeat at home against rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the South African DStv Premiership on Saturday.
The 21-year-old’s fifth league goal was a consolation as the Buccaneers lost 2-1 in the Soweto derby at the Orlando Stadium.
Reeve Frosler opened the scoring in the 18th minute with a screamer from range to put Chiefs ahead.
Peprah levelled the score for the hosts in the 54th minute with a tap-in at the right post after an earlier flying header was ruled out for offside.
With nine minutes to the end of the game, Eric Mathoho netted the winner from Keagan Dolly’s well-taken corner.
Kaizer Chiefs are second on the league standings with 35 points, three ahead of fourth-placed Orlando Pirates.
