Title-chasing Bechem United are back in second position after narrowly beating Accra Lions on match-day 21 of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL).
The Hunters defeated the debutants 1-0 at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday afternoon.
All even it ended in an encouraging opening 45 minutes for the visiting Lions even up until after the hour mark.
Winger Emmanuel Annor – who netted in the famous away win at Elmina Sharks last week – sprang up again to notch the crucial matchwinner for Bechem on 67 minutes.
The solitary goal victory moves Bechem United two places up to position 2 with 37 points in the league standings. Accra Lions, on 24 points, drop to 14th.
Annor won the NASCO man-of-the-match award.
