AshantiGold secured their 8th win with a 4-0 thumping of Real Tamale United (RTU) on match-day 22 of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL) Wednesday afternoon.
The Miners were returning to the Len Clay Stadium after losing 2-1 in their visit to Hearts of Oak.
And within 4 minutes, coach Thomas Duah’s men announced their intentions with the opening goal from Amos Kofi Nkrumah.
Yaw Annor quickly doubled the lead in the 7th minute.
By the 35th minute, Aminu Adams then made it 3-0 and that remained through to the
Annor returned to the scoresheet once more right on the 90th-minute mark – his brace and 8th goal of the campaign – to cap off the 4-0 victory.
AshantiGold now climb to 11th in the league standings on 24 points while RTU drop to the relegation zone for the first time after 22 matches. They are now in 16th position with 22 points.
