2022 WCQ Playoffs: Black Stars to train twice in Kumasi before Nigeria game

The Ghana senior national team, Black Stars, will enjoy two full training sessions at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi before hosting Nigeria in their 2022 Fifa World Cup African playoffs round first leg match on Friday, March 25.

Per a schedule shared by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Saturday, members of the yet-to-be-made public squad are expected to arrive in Accra from their respective clubs by the close of day Sunday, March 20.

There is no activity list for the team on Monday though it is suspected that coach Otto Addo and his technical team may lead the players available in some shakeup session on Monday.

The entire Black Stars entourage will head for Kumasi in the evening of Tuesday, March 22 meaning the team will get to train at the venue of the match only on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Ghana-Nigeria game is scheduled to kick off at 19:30 GMT on Friday

It has been reported that coach Otto Addo”s expected squad list is made up of 27 players – 4 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, 10 midfielders and 5 attackers.
