The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has confirmed that Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko’s 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL) match-day 19 fixtures have been postponed.
Following their action-packed 0-0 draw in the league match on Sunday, the two teams will face off again for the President’s Cup next month.
With the game set to take place on Friday, March 4, at the Accra Sports Stadium, the two sides’ matches in the league have had to be moved to accommodate it.
Kotoko will now travel to face Bechem United on March 8 while Hearts host on WAFA SC in Accra the following day.
“All stakeholders are to note that all other matches slated for Match Day 19 in the Ghana Premier League will go on as scheduled,” the GFA said in its statement.
Asante Kotoko lead the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League (GPL) standings at the halfway stage with seven points over second-placed Bechem United while defending champions Hearts of Oak are 12 points behind their arch-rivals in seventh.
